Gregg was instrumental in creating a pleasant work environment and the development of a strong public/private partnership resulting in the funding for many large infrastructure improvements, to include a very large and complicated sewer separation project, construction of a new fire station, improvements to parks and public art, the adaptive reuse of local commercial building into a modern public library, expanding the city through multiple voluntary annexations, expansion of the municipal airport, and modifications to the existing use of TIF to provide funding necessary for the creation and expansion of many local businesses resulting in new jobs and expansion of the local tax base.
